Well, we had a wonderful day yesterday. Sebastian gave me a wonderful birthday present and continued to make great improvements on his "Bubble" machine. It is similar in purpose to a CPAP machine for adults as it makes sure that the pressure on his lungs remains constant so that they can stregthen and mature. I'm sure a doctor or nurse would explain in much better detail and specifics, but for those of us non-medical people, that's the best I can get to explaining it. He is learning that he doesn't like to have the "Bubble" machine on though so he is finding ways to pull it off. Here is a pic of him getting ready to pull it off until Grandma caught him, so he pulled a "Who me?" The machine looks scary, but he will hopefully be off of it soon.
He made his first arts & crafts project on Thursday night with one of the nurses. Here is the birthday card our little guy made (with a little bit of help...)
We are getting ready to head back over to the hospital now to spend the day with him again. We can't answer our phones in the NICU but can reply to text messages, so if we don't answer our phones, you know why. I will try to update again later today after we get over to the hospital and get the latest update on our little guy. Here are some pics from Wednesday before he was transported over to the NICU.
Little baby feet :)
